Gingernut Biscuits

Makes 20
Cane sugar free, wholemeal, egg free

Ingredients

– 180g wholemeal flour
– 1/2 tsp bicarb soda
– 2 tsp ground ginger
– 1/2 tsp cinnamon
– 60g Grapeseed oil or butter (melted)
– 40ml honey
– 40ml pure maple syrup

Method

1. Preheat oven 190 degrees, fanforced
2. Spray oven trays with olive oil cooking spray and line with baking paper
3. Sift flour, soda, ginger and cinnamon into a bowl
4. In a separate bowl mix together oil (or butter), honey and maple syrup
5. Pour wet mixture into dry
6. Stir into a firm dough, if the dough is to sticky add some more flour
7. Roll teaspoon-fulls of dough into balls and flatten with fingers, if you have trouble handling the dough try wetting your hands
8. Bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes
