Chocolate Pecan Biscuits

Choc Pecan Biscuits

Cane sugar free, dairy free, egg free

Makes 24


– 3/4 cup plain whole-wheat flour
– 1/4 cup cocoa
– 1/4 tsp baking powder
– 1/2 tsp baking soda
– 1/4 tsp rock salt
– 1/2 cup natural pecans, roughly chopped
– 1/4 cup + 1 Tbsp pure maple syrup
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 5 Tbsp grapeseed oil


1. Preheat oven to 150 degrees celsius, fanforced
2. Lightly spray two oven trays with olive oil cooking spray and line with baking paper then lightly spray again
3. Sift all dry ingredients into a medium sized mixing bowl and mix well
4. In a separate small mixing bowl combine all liquid ingredients
5. Make a well in the centre of the dry ingredients and pour in the liquid, mix until well combined
6. At this point your mixture should resemble cookie dough, if your mixture is to wet add more flour if to dry add extra oil or a dash of milk
7. Roll teaspoon fulls of mixture into balls, place onto the oven trays and flatten slightly
8. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes
9. Allow to cool completely before serving
